The research project and the collaboration with the Köhler Foundation and the IPU Berlin began at the start of 2026.

The Hans Kilian and Lotte Köhler-Center (KKC) is an interdisciplinary research institution with locations at the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin and the TU Dortmund University. The Center undertakes various tasks in the field of interdisciplinary and internationally oriented psychology and psychoanalysis. Its focus is on cultural and social-psychological analyses as well as fundamental anthropological questions from a historical perspective.

Formerly based at Ruhr University Bochum, the KKC is now institutionally affiliated with the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin and the TU Dortmund University.
