Online lecture by Paul Schreiber on "Integration officers in practice: Between limitations and dissolution of boundaries in the field of cross-sectional tasks"

The online talk explores the question of how integration officers operate between high expectations, limited responsibilities and organizational tensions. The focus is on results from the current dissertation project by Paul Schreiber on the role practice of district commissioners for participation and integration in Berlin. The talk will show how decision-making capacity is practically established within complex administrative structures, which different forms of administrative role processing can be reconstructed and why structural fuzziness can be understood not only as a deficit but also as part of complex administrative processes.

The KKI Online Talk is an interactive dialog format under the motto "Science meets practice". At regular intervals, experts from science and municipal integration work come together to discuss current research findings and make them applicable to practice. KKI is the state-wide infrastructure for supporting and professionalizing municipal integration work in Baden-Württemberg and is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration of the State of Baden-Württemberg.
