Dr. Anna Cornelia Reinhardt has contributed two articles to the newly published research forum “Diversity-Sensitive and Anti-Discrimination Education.” In these articles, she examines the relationship between superdiversity, educational inequality, and discrimination, and develops reflexivity as a central mode of anti-discrimination education.

The journal *itdb – Inter- and Transdisciplinary Education* has published the research forum “Defining Terms in Science and Education: Diversity-Sensitive and Anti-Discrimination Education.” In it, scholars from various disciplines discuss how diversity-sensitive and anti-discrimination education can be defined theoretically and implemented in research and educational practice.

Dr. Anna Cornelia Reinhardt contributes two articles to the research forum.

In her original English-language article “(Super-)Diversity and Discrimination in the Education Systems of Migrant Societies: Perspectives on Childhood(s) and Inequality,” she examines the complex relationship between the increasing diversification of children’s lived environments and the persistent social inequality in the education systems of migrant societies. In doing so, she advocates for a multidimensional understanding of educational inequality that takes into account not only formal educational credentials but also opportunities for recognition and participation.

In the second contribution, “Convergence and Divergence: Reflexivity as a Mode of Diversity-Sensitive and Anti-Discriminatory Education in a Superdiverse Migrant Society,” Reinhardt continues these reflections in dialogue with the other positions presented at the research forum. She proposes understanding critical reflexivity not as a supplementary method or a clearly defined pedagogical program, but as a fundamental approach to scientific research and pedagogical practice. Such reflexivity also focuses on the concepts, categories, and knowledge systems through which difference, diversity, and belonging are produced. Education that is sensitive to diversity and critical of discrimination should make social power relations and inequalities visible without essentializing differences or losing sight of its own theoretical and normative assumptions.

The research forum appeared in issue 01/2026 of the open-access journal *itdb*. Dr. Reinhardt’s contributions can be found on pages 73–75 and 127–132. Link to the journal
