News from Sociology of Migration and Education - New article by Dr. Anna Cornelia Reinhardt published

The contribution by Dr. Anna Cornelia Reinhardt examines the negotiations and practices of diversity in the context of municipal transition management for newly immigrated or refugee students, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia. The focus is on how diversity is interpreted as a problem, challenge or solution strategy by actors in migration and school administration and which constructions of difference are (re-)produced in the process. Reinhardt uses a diversity-theoretical analysis to shed light on how institutional interpretations and decision-making processes of migration-sensitive education and transition processes are shaped, pursuing an explorative, open-ended interest in knowledge. The article also examines the educational policy framework of transition management. Link to the publication
