Keynote by Aladin El-Mafaalani at the Ruhr University Bochum's Annual Academic Ceremony

Aladin El-Mafaalani delivered a keynote at the 26th Annual Academic Ceremony at Ruhr University Bochum to mark the university’s 60th anniversary. This year’s celebration was held under the theme “RUB 60 – built to change since 1965.”

The university was pleased to welcome its alumnus Prof. Dr. Aladin El-Mafaalani as the keynote speaker. A sociologist specializing in migration and education at TU Dortmund University, he has had a significant influence on the debate surrounding educational equity and equal opportunity in Germany from the perspective of migration and education sociology. Also in attendance were North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister of Science, Ina Brandes, and Jörg Lukat, the mayor-elect of Bochum.
