Dr. Fatih Kaya from Sociology of Migration and Education will give a lecture as part of the Institute of Sociology’s second colloquium series. Dr. Fatih Kaya from Sociology of Migration and Education will give a lecture as part of the Institute of Sociology’s second colloquium series. The second lecture series begins in the summer semester of 2026 and addresses the overarching theme “Authoritarian Turn? Emotions, Worldviews, and Radicalization.”

Dr. Fatih Kaya’s lecture, titled “Authoritarian Worldviews and Sacred Violence: A Reconstructive Analysis of the Hanau Terror Attack,” will take place on July 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Emil-Figge-Str. 50, Room 0.512.

Following the successful establishment of the Institute of Sociology (ISO) last summer, the second ISO Colloquium will begin in the Summer Semester 2026. This semester’s colloquium is titled “Authoritarian Turn? Emotions, Worldviews, and Radicalization” and was organized by Anike Krämer, Alina Schmitz, and Marcel Sebastian.
