New article published on the role of child daycare in reducing disadvantage.

The article deals with the role of child day care in reducing disadvantage, which is a central legal mandate of child day care. However, there is currently a lack of common understanding as to which children are at particular risk of disadvantage. At the same time, practice shows that socially and structurally disadvantaged daycare facilities have particularly poor working conditions. This makes it difficult to effectively implement the legal requirements to reduce disadvantages. In order to enable daycare facilities to meet this responsibility, a funding logic is required that takes better account of children's needs than has been the case to date. It is explained that a daycare center social index could serve as a possible solution. Link to the publication
