Event graphic with a pink background and turquoise and orange design elements. In the top left corner, “CONFLICTA Conflict Forum” is written inside an orange circle. Centered in large black lettering: “Peace Mediation in Germany,” with the subtitle “Addressing seemingly irreconcilable value conflicts” below it. A portrait photo of a person is visible in the bottom right corner. Below the title is the text “With Katty Nöllenburg.” The design has a modern look and is eye-catching. © conflicta/Bielefeld University
In an online talk on 25 March 2026, Dr. Katty Nöllenburg will report on her decades of experience as a mediator and social researcher and outline ways in which seemingly separate social groups can sit at the same table (again).

International crises and national political developments have an impact on coexistence in cities, communities and neighborhoods. Against this backdrop, the question arises: How can identity-forming conflicts of values be de-escalated or dealt with preventively? What conflicts are (non-)negotiable - and by whom? And what role do conflict experts play for understanding and peaceful coexistence in diverse communities?

On March 25, 2026, the Conflict Academy Conflicta of Bielefeld University invites you to the digital conflict forum with Dr. Katty Nöllenburg invites you. From 1 to 2:30 p.m., there will be input and discussion on the topic of "Peace Mediation in Germany - Dealing with seemingly irreconcilable conflicts of values".

The event is aimed at professionals from the fields of mediation, counseling, facilitation and training as well as anyone interested in conflict resolution in the local community. To register.
